3 Ways To Wear A Dungaree

The old school yet classic dungaree trend seems to make a come back every year, and this year is no different. I have decided to put together 3 simple looks you could put together as it can become quite difficult to constantly find different ways to reinvent this item.

Smart Casual

Pairing a pretty blouse with your dungaree is the perfect way to spruce things up.  I love the idea of creating a bit of a smart casual twist to this chilled laid back look.

Casual

This is a cool everyday look for campus, the mall or simply just hanging out with friends. The shirt around the waist look is so on trend and I absolutely love it. I personally prefer the "Denim On Denim" look but if that isn't to your taste, you could also pair a plaid shirt or any printed shirt you may like.

Switch Up

Wearing a top over your dungaree creates the illusion of a pair of boyfriend jeans. I personally love this look because it adds a bit of flair to the overall look. Its just a unique way to style your dungaree. Throwing on a cardigan or a feminine trench coat will do the trick.

Vodacom Durban July 2014

Durban's biggest fashion extravaganza took place this past weekend at the Greyville Race Course, and boy was it spectacular. It was my very first time attending the Durban July and I am so upset with myself for not going sooner because I had such an amazing time. People were dressed to the nines, I spotted the most beautiful ensembles and some " OMG!! WHAT IS SHE WEARING" looks ( and no, not in a good way). I was partying the night away with my Nokia family at the Jack Daniels Boomtown marquee powered by Nokia. The biggest South African artists and big name DJs such as AKA & Da Les, Micasa, Dreamteam,Black Coffee and DJ Clock ( just to name a few) were all in attendance. They put on a great show and had us dancing throughout the night. After the amazing time i had, I will definitely be attending the Durban July next year,I already cannot wait!

Okay,Okay! I wear a lot of black I know, but I just can't help it. There is something about black that makes you look 10times better ( I'm certain it has some sort of super power). I just love the fit of this long sheer blouse, it flows so beautifully and the opening on the back is a lovely added extra to the shirt. Black is just so classy and slimming, so when you're out of outfit ideas for an outing or an event, an all black look will never let you down. Black with touches of gold accessories are the most perfect combination. I love pairing my all black look with gold accessories. Silver also goes beautifully well with an all black outfit for a classy and feminine look.
